Internal Quality Assurance Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Policy is to establish and maintain a robust framework for monitoring and enhancing the quality of educational programs and services at UK Learning Hub. This policy aims to ensure consistency, reliability, and continuous improvement in the delivery of education and training.

 

2. Principles of Internal Quality Assurance

2.1. Commitment to Quality: UK Learning Hub is committed to providing high-quality education and training services that meet or exceed the expectations of learners and stakeholders.

2.2. Continuous Improvement: The IQA process will be designed to facilitate ongoing improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

2.3. Transparency and Accountability: The IQA process will be transparent, and roles and responsibilities will be clearly defined to ensure accountability for quality assurance activities.

 

3. Roles and Responsibilities

3.1. Quality Assurance Coordinator: A designated Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the IQA process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and coordinating internal audits.

3.2. Tutors and Assessors: Tutors and assessors are responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment. They will actively participate in the IQA process, providing evidence of compliance with quality standards.

3.3. Management: Senior management will support and promote a culture of quality within UK Learning Hub. They will allocate resources, provide training, and ensure that quality objectives are met.

 

4. Internal Quality Assurance Process

4.1. Self-Assessment: Regular self-assessment will be conducted by tutors and assessors to evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

4.2. Peer Review and Moderation: Peer review and moderation activities will be conducted to ensure consistency and reliability in assessment practices. This may involve the review of assessment materials, feedback, and grading.

4.3. Standardization: Standardization meetings will be held to ensure consistency in the application of assessment criteria and grading across different tutors and assessors.

4.4. Feedback and Improvement Plans: Feedback from internal quality assurance activities will be used to identify areas for improvement. Improvement plans will be developed and implemented as needed.

 

5. Documentation and Record-keeping

5.1. Record of IQA Activities: Comprehensive records of all internal quality assurance activities, including self-assessment, peer reviews, and improvement plans, will be maintained.

5.2. Document Control: Policies, procedures, and other relevant documents related to quality assurance will be regularly reviewed and updated. Document control procedures will be in place to ensure the accuracy and relevance of documentation.

 

6. External Verification and Audit

6.1. External Verification: External verification processes will be conducted periodically by recognised external bodies to validate the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance processes.

6.2. Audit Process: Internal audits will be conducted to review and assess compliance with this IQA policy. Findings will be used to improve quality assurance procedures.

 

7. Review and Continuous Improvement

This IQA policy will be subject to regular review to ensure its effectiveness. Feedback from internal and external verification processes will be used to enhance the IQA framework continually.

 

This Internal Quality Assurance Policy is effective as of 15/12/2023 and is applicable to all educational programs and services offered by UK Learning Hub.
